Hi all,

I hope this is the correct place for this topic. I just took the AMC 12B exam (my school took it a week late because we were on break last week) and I feel great about it. I really think I did well. I was wondering:

When do we get our results back? Within a month?

What sore must I earn to "move on" to the AIME? I heard speculations of 100. I think that its 6 points/correct answer, 1.5/blank, 0/incorrect answer. I left none blank, meaning I should get 17 correct.

Thanks!

a) schools are not allowed to administer the exam after the designated day.
b) results should be out in like a little over a week?
c) 100 guarantees that you make AIME, but the cutoff is top 5% of students. It was 88.5 for the 12A, though, and the 12B was harder.

what do you think the cut-off’s gonna be? i heard (and i also think) that the 12B was much harder than the 12A. but at the same time, i’m under the impression that all the try-hards sign up for the 12B that might affect the cut-off too.

I am not sure about the cut-off, but I have been looking at the answers online and from what I can remember, I got a perfect score. Makes me even more excited for the results to come back. I think even if I missed like 5, a 20/25 would qualify. Who knows.
