Amc/aime

Gradewise or classwise, when are these tests administered? Also, what if my school does not administer these tests and I would like to take them?

Depends on the school. I'm assuming you mean time of the day.

I think you can register by yourself.

So if my school does not offer, I can take at another that does?

My school asks all who wish to take the AMC 12 to just go to the cafeteria in the morning of the day that it's administered (sometime in february i believe?) And if you qualify for the AIME you take it like 4 weeks later in the morning, at least in my school. We had one of the top scorers for the AIME who qualified for the USAMO (is that the next one?) I personally got like 2 or 3 on the AIME and was proud haha.

You need a contest coordinator to proctor the test; presumably they must also be the one to order it. You'll probably need to find a willing teacher and convince them to do it for you (and anyone else that is interested).

Contest dates are at http://www.unl.edu/amc. The exam must be given a specific day (there are two different forms, given on two days; you can take either or both), but I think the coordinator can choose the time of day. We always did it in the morning.

Indeed, you must qualify for the AIME by scoring well on the AMC 10/12. If you score well on the AIME, you take the USAMO, and beyond USAMO is MOSP and the IMO.
