If I didn’t take the AMC 10 test, do you think it is worth to take the AMC 12? I know I can do decent if I prepare for the AMC 12 but would it look weird if I have an AMC 12 Score without an AMC 10 score when I report them to schools like CMU and MIT? I just want to know if that really does make any difference as if I do well on the AMC12 it still shows some strong mathematical ability even if I didn’t take the AMC10.
It’s absolutely fine to just take the AMC-12 and report only that.

If you enjoy competitive math and want to challenge yourself, taking the 12 has no dependency on having taken the 10. A high 12 score is in no way diminished/lessened by not taking a different test years before.
