If I'm applying regular decision for MIT this year, could the AMC scores
of next year possibly impact the decision? For example, if the committee looks at my application later than others, could my AMC score go in?

no.
AMC senior year scores generally don’t affect anything.

and I doubt AMC scores will make or break your application. good scores alone won’t help. bad scores won’t hurt. i’d probably just take the AMCs and not really worry so much about the scores. if you make AIME great. if you make USAMO even greater… but from experience, 9 hours of impossible questions is not all that pleasant, especially right before end of senior year.

i’d probably focus more on shoring up all of the other aspects of your application and let your AMC scores just complement high grades, passion about a subject, etc etc.

I never thought about that until I saw on jhu’s app they have a place for aime scores, so it must help
