<p>does anyone have recommendations for books you used to study for the AMC12 test?
I have heard of the AoPS book...are there any other books you found helpful?</p>

BTW, studying strategies varies depending on what you want. If you just want to qualify for AIME, then train to just ace 11 questions, that'll give you 101. However if you want to get as high as score as possible, you should do as many question as possible. :D</p>
<p>My school has our own math practices, so I just attend those. I never practice on my own. We have a full selection of American and Canada old contests kits in stock. </p>
<p>Basically you can't really prepare for a math contests in a short time and expect a lot of my return. My AMC 12 scores over my highschool years have been weird tho:
09: AMC 12A 99.5 AMC 12B 87
10: AMC 12A 94.5 AMC 12B 91.5
11: AMC 12A 123 AMC 12B 107.5
AMC as always been bad luck, until 11th, when I broke it :P</p>
