U.S. News & World Report has released its 2007 listing of 18 of the nation’s leaders in various fields. President Tilghman of Princeton was named. Additional Princetonians include Andrea Jung, the CEO of Avon and James Baker, former Secretary of State both Princeton College graduates.

Other Ivy League connections include Ruth Simmons, President of Brown, Yo Yo Ma and Nicholas Kristoff, Harvard College grads and Harold Varmus, a Yale College grad.

Lists like this are always arbitrary but it was nice to see both Presidents Tilghman and Simmons be recognized. I have tremendous respect for what each of them has done.
