AMERICA vs ENGLAND TOP BOARDING SCHOOLS

<p>Hi i'm going to be in 9th grade this autumn and I'm currently attending one of the top barding schools in the United Kingdom, but i really want to go to Andover. </p>

<p>I'm originally from Korea but i've been studying in the UK for around 6 years now.</p>

<p>Of course i haven't got in to Andover yet but i really REALLY want to go.</p>

<p>However everyone i've asked about moving have been really discouraging, saying that i won't get in to any good universities if i move to America since the education system there is so different and i need time to adjust. </p>

<p>I also asked some Korean alumni who moved from the UK to Andover and they all said that the school was great but none of them got in to the universities of their choices i.e. the IVY, Stanford and MIT. </p>

<p>Is it a bad idea? if any of you went to Andover/ Exeter ect, could you possibly tell me if this is true for most asians who moved from England to America? </p>

<p>Although this is a wrong sub-forum for this post;one thing I suggest you is to continue your education there since you are familiar with almost everything about your current school. There you can grow academically and socially…but you have given your own answer…
