just curious if it is popular among college students...

No. People who reach college realize that people wearing these brands look like dbags.

I'm not sure.

I'm a junior in high school and would have no problem wearing American Eagle, Hollister, etc... in college. I like most if not all of their clothes.

eh i no longer buy clothes from there, but i will still wear them.
ive outgrown those brands

Ralph Lauren rules all.

how do they look like dbags? they sell regular clothes like anywhere else, you can't even tell someone's wearing the brands unless the shirt says "Hollister" on it or something. seriously, just wear whatever the hell you want and stop being judgmental.

Yes, people in college do wear those brands, but fewer wear the graphic T's that say the name brand on it and instead wear the regular clothes. I haven't shopped at American Eagle since high school, but I have tops I still wear from there (no, not the ugly graphic t's lol).

I went into Hollister once and it was SO dark and the music was SO loud. You can't even see the clothes, let alone hear yourself think...I feel sorry for the people who work there.

I see people wearing them all the time

it's more of a hgih school trend though

I rarely see anyone with Hollister things. Still see a decent amount of AE things, but not as much, or at least not the types with giant logos on the chest.

It really depends which college, but yeah many students do wear them. You won't see as many wearing them at U Bridgeport as you will at Wake Forest. Funny when a kid from rural Nebraska wears "CALI SURF CLUB" tees when he's never seen the ocean once, let alone been to California. But I just have a good laugh and move on.

They aren't really brands ment to be grown out of until you're like, old. They're just meant for young people. Why do I say this? Their fits are rather tight (I'm slender and I noticed this right away) and their shirts' designs are just...young looking. I have no problem with them...

^ Well, I See tons of college kids wearing Hollister clothes, especially girls.... AE seems to be bigger on the jeans and sweatshirt department

personally

I wear non of those brands

I keep to the band-shirt and random stuff I like in malls

I do like stuff at Hot Topic though, some of the band T's are pretty awesome

People wear whatever they want is what it comes down to. You can tell a frat guy from the polo, sunglasses, and the loafers. You can tell a sorority chick from the sorority shirt. You can tell a freshman if they look young and are wearing a bunch of clothes with the college on it. Then there is a bunch of other varieties...there is no common theme for the most part.

I tend to get my stuff from all over the place, but particularly from websites. It's nice to have stuff that few have seen, and I also don't want to feel like a walking billboard. The closest I've felt to being some sort of trend whore is getting shirts with designs printed on American Apparel tees.

But, whatever...wear whatever you want and be happy about it. Let's not be too superficial.

All my clothes is from Abercrombie & Fitch and I wouldn't have it any other way and I plant to continue =]

Congratulations on looking like a 7th grader, rather than a college student.

^Yeah, tell that to the endless southern frats decked out in A&F and call me when your head is stuck in a toilet.

Yeah, if you go to school with alot of white kids.

I've notice that so many people can critize these popular stores ( American Eagle, Hollister etc....) for pointless reasons. There are so many other clothing lines that are popular worn by high schoolers and college students as well. I would easily buy these clothing lines as a college student.

Haha Well I guess that's too bad... There's only 3 stores I will ever buy clothes from A&F, Neiman Marcus, and Nordstrom...But my fav is A&F

everyone just go with j crew

i like american eagle..not the logo t-shirts or whatever, but the jeans and simple, classic tops/dresses/cardigans..and i'm definitely not involved with the greek system at my school..

just wear whatever you feel comfortable in; no one cares.
