American Eagle/Hollister/etc. popular in college?

^ lolol. not bragging alrite :D

lol no you look like every other dork who shops at urban outfitters

^Exactly. People throw on some American Apparel, a pair of Rayban Wayfarers and some skinny jeans and think they stand out. You look like every one who lives in Williamsburg.

^ Or everyone who goes to NYU :D

Well, Swedish men are hot and I wouldnā€™t be surprised if he is. Theyā€™re not fat like American men (sorry, but men in this country are even more overweight than the women). Or maybe itā€™s the accent? I donā€™t know, Sweden makes me think of cleanliness, organization, and massages, and if thatā€™s not sexy, I donā€™t know what is.

Skinny jeans only go well with heels. Unless you like clown feet. Sorry men.

are you joking? more often than not, they look gay.

ok iā€™ve never been to sweden, but iā€™ve met at least 5 swedish guys in college, one of whom iā€™ve friends with, and they donā€™t look gay. they actually stood out to me as being much hotter than the effeminate hipster guys I go to college with (I go to a heavily gay school). plus I like the accent :stuck_out_tongue: plus they speak/write English better than a lot of Americans

Yeah I agree skinny jeans look best with heels, but theyā€™re also good for tucking into boots in the winter, leggings are good for that too. A lot of people wear them with ballet flats though, which I guess is comfier.

No, they look gay. Skinny, pale, blonde, blue eyed, dainty features. Completely feminine looking.

And any guy who can fit into those skinny jeans needs to hit the gym and squat. Thereā€™s nothing more pathetic than seeing a guy whoā€™s legs are smaller than the average chickā€™s.

Lolā€¦ Didnā€™t think this thread would last this longā€¦

Its pretty sad to see how much everyone judges people based on how they dress, and stereotype how they look on where they are from. If its a guys style to wear the raybans, & skinny jeans, then so be it. I dont see why its even something worth discussing, i mean we all have our preferences on styles, but others have theres. At my school, plenty of girls have all 1000 colours of the juicy sweatpants, and wear them everyday tucked into another pair of uggs, and ya it gets annoying, but they think they look good, so who cares. Im sure there are people who probably hate how i dress, and i hate how others dress, but if we all looked the same it would be rather boring lol, so i like the diversity =]

Lol i never expected this topic to get so long haha =P

Agree with post 151

people judge others on practically everything about them. that isnā€™t sad. whatā€™s sad is if people actually care about otherā€™s opinions about them.

Agreed.

People form opinions on others based on what they wear everyday, and anyone who denies that they do is either a liar, a hypocrite or in denial.

i think ppl should wear wut they like. i mean, as long as its not puttin u in debt, and you have on enough clothes so that youā€™re not guilty of indecent exposure, ur fine. personally, i like cute tops, dressy shorts/ jeans , and flats/sandals/wedges depending on how i feelā€¦as long as you look decent, its wutev.

Itā€™s not wrong to judge a person by how they dress because that is the way he/she is presenting him or herself to the world. Clothing is something you can change. I do believe itā€™s wrong to judge others on skin color, the way they talk or walk or things like that, that canā€™t be changed. The way you dress is the way you want others to see you so itā€™s not wrong to admit that someone who dresses 'trashy" all the time is lazy and just doesnā€™t care.

Exactly. People always argue against school uniforms because ā€œclothes is a form of expression.ā€ Well, there it is! No matter what you do, you wear something and you are judged by it. This is even done subconsciously. So, there is nothing really wrong with this. Itā€™s natural. Like it or not, everything from your hair to your shoes is judged.

Sweden makes me think of cold weather, high taxes, lax prisons, and semi-socialism.

Thatā€™s one reason Iā€™m sort of away from them. I like stuff that fits, and not baggy, but also not so tight. It sometimes seems I have big feet, so I may come across with clown feet if I wear those skinny, high water jeans.

Plus, big feet + tight pants = well, you know!

If youā€™re over a size 4 you should not be allowed to wear skinny jeans, this rule is for your own good. People can wear what ever they want, Iā€™m not saying you canā€™t but it will make look really bad.

haha i honestly didnt mean it to brag :stuck_out_tongue: like i said, whats the point of bragging when you dont know who i am anyway ? :stuck_out_tongue:
and also, i dont wear skinny jeans, i said in my earlier post that i dont think theyre comfortableā€¦ as for everyone who says swedish people look gayā€¦ :stuck_out_tongue: well come on, thats just ridiculousā€¦ i bet some of you havent even seen a swedish personā€¦ and russel, dude whatever :stuck_out_tongue: i dont fit into really skinny jeans, but still ive been playing soccer for 17 years and been very very good at it(national level) and i dont have really thick legsā€¦

  • ive never been to urban outfitters, and ive bought 1 thing from american apparel, only because a friend of mine got my tshirt dirty on the back, so i bought a cardigan to cover it up :stuck_out_tongue:
just deal with it, 90% of americans cant dress and instead of realizing their lack of fashion sense(no, wearing a pair of jeans that look like a tent, and a tshirt u got for free on the 4th of july, is not fashion) they criticize those who care, for being gayā€¦ i mean thats just ridiculousā€¦ ā€˜youre gayā€™ is the 2009 version of ā€˜i know you are but what am iā€™ or ā€˜your momā€™ ā€¦ :stuck_out_tongue: apparently, all of europe is gay to youā€¦ yet for some STRAANGE reason, we get more girls than youā€¦ no wonder american chicks dream of going to parisā€¦

Most of my shirts were free or very cheep, and I expect the same to be true in college.

I think this thread is starting to get worthless without pictures.
