Once I see any show is a review show, I immediately change the channel. May be okay for people who don’t watch regularly.

It’s really a pointless episode; there’s not enough from past performances to bring new viewers up to speed. And if you’ve seen the previous episodes, there’s little new

I’m in love with Malik - beautiful voice, sweet personality, stage presence…the whole package!
My favorite (so far) among the current bunch in both shows is Cait Martin.

Wow! They went from 26 to 12 mighty quickly! Many of my favorites are still in, but a few of my favorites are now out.
I’ve still got my money on We Ani. I adore her.

Have not been watching Idol (or the Voice) for a few seasons now but do hope everyone is doing well! I started recording Idol beginning on night 2 in HI and will try to check out some of the performances after that. Thanks for your comments!!

Very glad you’re doing well, @jshain. When you haven’t seen someone post for awhile, you start to get concerned. Is someone just busy and enjoying their life, or has something bad happened. I’m getting afraid to ask!
Looking forward to any comments you have. I’ve just started watching American Idol again, but fast forwarding through the judges comments, they are really annoying. Don’t know whether it’s worth watching this season of the Voice, though.

Agreed. Both Chance and Niall seem like amazing coaches. And Blake and Niall’s bromance is cute.
I will say for those looking to binge, there are annoying parts (at least to me), that you can FF through. E.g. it’s Blake’s last season - we get it

The judge’s picks for the top 12 were horrible. They are the 2 worst singers. I don’t get it. Especially Lionel picking Lucy right after she sang. I think she has a really bad attitude. I also don’t get why they show so many auditions and then cut from 24 to 12 in one week. I used to like it when they would cut 2 a week till they got to the top 10 so you would really get to know the contestants. And bring back Simon who actually used to “judge” the contestants.

In the first place, that’s not gonna happen. Secondly, if you’ve seen recent seasons of America’s (or Britain’s) Got Talent, Simon has mellowed with age. Maybe that’s parenthood, IDK.
I agree that the lack of constructive feedback on this show (and The Voice) is pretty pointless. As I mentioned upthread, I was watching the most recent season of Australian Idol and the judges were generally given more honest ( and balanced) critiques. I miss those days.
