I got into Girls state. It was easy to get in and completely uncompetitive, but the questions asked included "what are your state politicians?" "what's the legal voting age?" and "what does the pledge of allegiance mean to you?"

I was selected to be a delegate of the California Golden Boys' State last year. Be ready to answer political questions(1st amendment), patriotic questions (pledge and national anthem), and personal experiences of being involved in your local government. Try focus on community service, athletics, and possible Boys' State alumni or America Legion relatives. It is a great program and I wish you luck with your interview.

thanks guys...but I don't they're selecting me...
They only interviewed me for about 3 or 4 minutes and they didn't even ask me about anything you guys listed

I didn’t have to do any interviews or anything, but some people did. It’s apparently pretty competitive in my state. Idk.

Anyways, Just make sure to brush up on your local government (city, county, state) and that you say everything American and nothing anti-american. Also don’t say anything Anti-Christian.

Although we did have people who weren’t Christian (jewish girl in my city), it was definitely a major idea of the program.
