<p>I'm looking for information on these programs, specifically the band or full symphonic orchestra one. Good experience, cost, what level of playing ability among participants?</p>
<p>Two of my S’s went on tours with AMB bands and thoroughly enjoyed it. They went as Juniors in HS. Neither became music majors though S1 played in the Blue Band at Penn State. The tour was well supervised but not so much as to be stifling. The level of play was good but do not go thinking this is pre-conservatory level tours. They got to tour parts of Europe and experience things they would not have otherwise and play some music too. They were uniformly welcomed wherever they went and had good crowds when they played. The cost was reasonable to us for the length of time and what it covered. We would do it again.</p>
