American Resident vs Indian Education

I am an American Resident but Indian citizen with Indian education. Indian high school is very competitive and mainly academic focused and as a result i have very little to no ECs, Will i be given some leverage on this basis. I am applying to GA Tech as an EA applicant.

My ECs -:
1. Volunteer Work - 1
2. Volunteer Work - 2
3. Senior Basketball Team Member -11th and 12th
4. French Language - 5 years - 6th- 10th

SAT - : 2100/1440 Maths - 790, Crit - 650
SAT 2 : Physics - 800, Chemistry - 730 (bad , i know)

I think you should just present yourself the best way you can. The admission counselor probably knows Indian education system.

If I am not mistaken about Georgia Tech, the school probably has an admissions officer specifically for Indian students…

Relax! They will understand our situation!
We don’t have the opportunity to take APs or join clubs!
They will scale you based on how u have utilized the opportunities thqt were available to you!
Opportunities itself being less, there is little you can do!
They will consider you and your schooling system, not you alone!
I thino it doesn’t matter!

From what I have read, Admission officers definitely try to understand your situation and judge your application accordingly… Just present yourself the best way you can and all will be fine :)
