Hey, I was sort of interested in American, Southern Methodist, and the George Washington Unversities, with George Washington obviously the highest reach. I attend a very competitive highschool which has made it difficult to maintain a stellar GPA, and because of that I wasn't allowed to take any AP's. With that said, I never put forth quite "stellar" effort either, but I'm hoping to put myself in the best position in college to change that.

Soooo here are some of my stats. Appreciate your time and help.

GPA: 3.0/4.0
SAT: 1970 (710 CR|630 M|630 W)
ACT: 30
(Took both tests only once. I figured with a GPA as low as mine, there's only so much test scores could do to offset it.)
Extracurriculars: Hardly jaw-dropping but I enjoyed them all so that's really what counts to me
-Freshmen year football
-Cross Country/Track Sophmore through Senior year
-District Honor Chorus
-National Merit Commended (205)
-I'm from Louisiana, so I did volunteer work over summers of Jr. and Sr. year with the BP Oil Spill.

Two good recs from teachers as well. My essay is on hearing problem I had Sophmore year which caused me to fail 4/5 of my exams the first semester. Haha fortunately they were able to fix me but it took like a year. Just on a side note, I still have no idea how I was able to recover to a 3.0 gpa that year.

So that's my story. Thanks again.
