<p>I'm an American community college student finishing my AA but I'm about to move to the UK mainly for family reasons so how will I get accepted to a good british university? Do they accept transfers? If they do, how do I transfer? My gpa is 3.5 if that helps. I'm planning to study history too.

<p>British universities don’t take transfers, you’ll need to re-apply as a freshman.</p>
<p>Very few UK unis accept transfers into 2nd year, and almost never into 3rd year (most programs are only 3 years). The places that do allow transfers (which varies by program within universities) require you to demonstrate that you have done equivalent work to the 1st year curriculum, which frankly is exceptionally unlikely. For example, first year history students at Manchester take these classes: </p>
