American to Cambridge?

I read that Cambridge requires you to have at least five 5’s in relevant APs. I am intending to study science but my school doesn’t normally offer that many science or math APs until senior year. Is there a chance of me still getting in with these scores:
GPA weighted: 4.77
AP:
–Computer Science A - 5
–Chemistry - 5
–European History - 5
–US History - 5
SAT: 2300 (800R, 770M, 730W)
SAT II:
–Biology E -790
–Math 2 - 790
–Physics - 770
–Chemistry 730
–World History 730
AP classes next year:
–Calc BC
–Physics C
–Macro/Micro-Econ
–Biology (maybe)

It doesn’t matter that you haven’t taken them already, as long as you’re going to do so. If you get an offer it would then be conditional on getting the scores in the exam.

well you definitely meet and exceed their qualifications so it all depends on if you can get the funds
and as conformist says, you’ll get a conditional offer on getting the scores.

What about the interview? They aren’t hosting any overseas interviews in the United States. Will they do them over Skype?

No- Cambridge only interviews in person. Oxford does interview by Skype though.

@otoribashi, you are mistaken- @Conformist1688 did not say that the OP would definitely get an offer- s/he said IF the OP gets an offer. The OP will NOT get an offer from Cambridge based only on their scores. NOBODY gets an offer from Cambridge without an interview that is a cross between a tutorial and an oral exam. And depending on the subject/college, there are often other assessments as well- aptitude or knowledge tests and/or graded written work.

Agree with Collegemom3717 (as usual). Virtually all the applicants will have similar qualifications. You’re certainly not out of the running, but it’s not a sure thing either.

I’d try to do Biology AP if you can - I take it you’re applying for Natural Sciences and if you get in it will allow you the widest choice of options alongside Chemistry, Calculus and Physics. If you need to drop anything, leave out the Economics ones - they’re not regarded as well as other subject APs.

Cambridge does do skype interviews in some cases. (Source: https://www.admin.cam.ac.uk/offices/admissions/handbook/section2/2_4.html)

Congratulations, you have good stats, that’s the good part. Here’s the bad part, applying to Oxbridge is like applying to an Ivy, there’s a lot of uncertainty, interviews can make or break you, I suggest you do regular mock-interviews with an Oxbridge grad or a Don to prepare yourself.

You are good enough. You just have to realize the predilection for UK/EU students in the British education system.

BTW, you should know that Cambridge’s deadline for receiving test scores is by October of this year. However, if you receive a conditional offer in January (hope so), you have until August 31 of 2016 to give documentation of your testing, i.e. APs.

There is a good chance for you to get in I believe. Just keep your grades up and get the APs once you get into Cambridge

For international students from certain countries (maybe from China, Hong Kong and India?), Cambridge has interview locations at their countries.

For US students, certain colleges in Cambridge take Skype interviews, and certain colleges require on-site interviews. I understand that St John’s College is often very accommodating. You will have to check with each college.

The UCAS deadline for Cambridge has passed, however.
