American Transfer!!! Some questions???

I am a student at a community college in the United States (Arizona).

My grandfather and his family are from Quebec, CA so I've really wanted to attend McGill Uni. for awhile now.

Does any other American (or anyone) know how much tuition for board and classes would be each year?

I am majoring in the psychology field and a minor in French.

Can I get the financial aid loans from the US government and use them towards McGill?

How do you like McGill?

I grew up with Canadian French and have taken French for 6 years so far here in the States so I'm not to worried about the language situation.

For those that are Americans, How are you liking the study in Quebec? Are the people friendly? Is it easy to get around without a car if i live on campus?

When should all this be done by before the fall semester starts?

How long does it take to figure out if i am accepted?

If its too late this year ill look into it for the next fall that follows.

Thank you in advance for the replies.

You want to transfer into McGill with that academic plan? Make sure you have the following:

-A 3.7+ GPA at your CC in Arizona
-Single-variable calculus (differential and integral)
-Two semesters of biology, chemistry and/or physics (all with labs)

As for international tuition and fees: $33k yearly for the psychology leg, $17k yearly for the French-language literature leg (a French minor is understood at McGill as being a French-language literature minor). And we’re not even talking about room and board…

Have you looked into Concordia University? The psych dept is fantastic, and the tuition is much lower. It has two campuses, one of which is in downtown Montreal, the other 20 minutes west, with free shuttle service every 15 minutes. McGill is extremely difficult to get in, whereas Concordia has slightly lower entrance requirements.
