American University Early Decision 2011

I want to do the CLEG program too! It was what attracted me to the school in the first place. So many opportunities to come, if accepted ED!

Hey guys, I’ve heard that we will be notified between the 16th and the 19th! When you guys find out please post-goodluck to everyone!!

I am from PA and I want to double major in International Relations and Economics with a minor in philosophy with a pre-law track. I also applied to the Global Scholar Program (did anybody else apply to this program?) which is an excellent academic program. I visited AU over the summer and I fell in love with school due to its radical internationalist atmosphere.

I just want to wish everybody the best of luck and I am sure we will all get it in!!!

btw is there an official AU Class of 2015 facebook group?

yes!! i applied to the global scholars program, as well! do you know if we find out if we got into that program when we get our admission decision?

Yeah I believe that we do find out with our admission decision, hopefully we both get in!!!

pre-med? anyone? :)

ahhh! no way!! GOOD LUCK, FRIEND!!!
can i ask what you wrote your essay about?

I wrote about the need to stop US imperialism and I gave a Marxist analysis of how I would go about stopping it…it was a rather radical essay but I thought it was well written…what was your essay about?

that sounds awesome. I wrote about the political situation in Egypt (corruption and whatnot)… I spent ten months there last year so i was able to write from the point of view of someone who has seen how this corruption affects the Egyptian people. The presidential election is coming up so I talked about what the international community can do to make sure that the elections are fair this time around.
I feel pretty good about it. I am really really really excited about this program. Let me know if you get in!!!

I was planning on entering their pre-med program but im having second thoughts…Im sort of interested in switching my major to film or media communications. Im still on the fence though so I may just stick with biochem :)

Hey guys! I’m hoping to hear back from AU in these next few days…good luck to everyone! Is anyone else from the DC area?

@BaleighB–that’s awesome! good luck to whatever you plan on doing!

@giulsAU–i’m from northern MD : )

@BaleighB-- I am hoping to study film/media communications too! Good luck :)

giulsAU: I’m from Baltimore County Maryland
baleighb: I think you can still do any major and the the pre-med track or even the pre-law track aren’t majors or minors but only are tracks that help you prepare for medical/law school

I’m from northern va and hoping to go to sis and soooo nervous!

Thanks guys! So where is everyone from? Im from Ohio, im guessing the people in close proximity to MD will be finding out sooner since everything is being mailed this year.

I’m from Rhode Island. I am so nervous I can’t stand it! WHY WON’T THE LETTER ARRIVE ALREADY?!

aaahhh I know!! I’m bursting with excitement!! Should be within the next few days :)

does anyone else think they’re real borderline for admission? if so, would you mind throwing up a few stats?
