I thought i was going too go to American but got off the waitlist at Colby and now i need too decide where i am going
It’s May 7, didn’t you already commit?
got off the waitlist
Two totally different places. Did you have a strong preference for urban or rural?
no
What’s your intended major?
If International/Global Studies, Political Science/Government, Communication/Journalism, Russian Studies (or really any language), I’d strongly suggest American University.
Does the potential school’s climate matter to you, or distance from home?
@BlackCrow3 no idea what i am studying no distance and climate do not matter
What is net cost at each?
Colby is much stronger academically overall and has better overall teaching quality.
Is Colby cheaper for you?
Okay, so you have no idea what you want to study, distance and climate don’t matter, and you’re indifferent to urban vs. rural. But surely you had some reasons to apply to these two very different schools in the first place? No one here can help you decide when you don’t seem to have any preferences or interests of your own. I had one child at American who would have hated Colby, and one child who fled to an LAC after one year at an urban university. Who are YOU and what makes YOU happy? If you can’t figure that out, you may as well just toss a coin.
