Hello-I am very late to the party as I just located this site a few weeks ago. I wish I found you sooner as the information I have learned in just this short time has been wonderful. This is my first post and I hope you may be able to help.

My D, after surviving the harrowing application process, has narrowed her decision to either American or GWU. She wants to study Political Science and explore career options via DC internships which is why we have all decided DC is the best place for her to attend school. At this point we are torn as to which school is the better choice for her. Financially they work out approximately the same so that factor does not come into play. She likes the city-street atmosphere of GWU, but also really likes the beauty of the American campus. We are equally impressed with the quality of the PS curriculums from what we can tell via online research and information from our visits. Do the students at either school have an advantage obtaining internships?

We are from the NE so we were only able to visit the schools once each and cannot return before decision day (which is rapidly approaching!). I feel my D could do well at either school, but she is really torn right now. Any info pro or con would be appreciated. Thanks so much in advance!
