<p>These are really the two best options I have because I was waitlisted at my dream school UNC :(</p>
<p>American, the positives.
1. The School of International Service, or SIS, is amazing for IR, and since I think that's what I want to major in, SIS would be the best place for that!
2. It's in a beautiful part of DC and I love the campus.
3. They have amazing internships and great study abroad opportunities. </p>
<p>The negatives.
1. It's expensive, it would cost me about 30 grand a year. I have made an appeal and am hoping for more financial aid, but I won't find out for 2 more weeks.
2. If I end up changing my mind about majoring in IR, American wouldn't be worth the money for any other major and I'd probably have to transfer. </p>
<p>Howard, the positives.
1. It's in DC! I love DC :)
2. I got a scholarship that makes the school really affordable, costing about 12 grand a year.
3. I could be in the honors college! Which would look good on a resume. </p>
<p>The negatives.
1. It's not in a nice area in DC.
2. The admissions staff was so difficult to deal with -- I called 10+ times and they never picked up the phone!
3. It's an HBCU. It's not that I don't like black people, I'm half black, it's just that it's not diverse. I wouldn't want to go to a school that's 90% white either.</p>
<p>If anyone could give their opinion on what I should do, I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT! I've always looked at college as an investment in my future career but I'm stuck on which one that would be!!</p>
