American vs World History?!

Hi everyone im from the UK. Taken a few subject tests already but i want to sit either the American or World History tests. Iv not studied history to that great a degree but have basic understanding of both tests. Im asking people who have sat the test or know about them which one they would recommend me taking?

Bare in mind i have not had any more knowledge on one than the other so its purely down to which test you think is the easier to get higher marks- whether due to having less material or having simpliar material.

Any comments will be appreciated

Thanks!

My D's AP Euro teacher recommends students take the American History SATII rather than the World History exam because the amount of information you are responsible for learning is much less for the American History exam. America's history only spans several hundred years and it is only one country - as opposed to world history which goes back to ancient times and covers the world. Having said that, you are from the UK and you may not have as much knowledge about American History as the students in the US.

If you plan on going in blindly, I would suggest World History, because as UK student I think you may be more accustomed to it. I don't know anything about what the UK teaches, but your history encompasses a good part of the world, right? If you want to start studying for either one, I'd say take the US one for the same reasons LIMOMOF2 said.
