America's Best Colleges Tournament - VOTING.

Hi guys, this will be the thread for the tournament-style voting game. I'll post the draw shortly. We'll start off with the Research Unis.

I like this style better. Can you post rules on this though? I don’t understand it as well. Is it going to be one vote per day? Or what?

FIRST BRACKET:

(1)Harvard vs Syracuse 5-5
Brandeis vs William & Mary 5-5
(16)Cornell vs GWU 5-5
Rice vs Yeshiva 5-5

(8)Chicago vs Texas A&M 5-5
UCLA vs Umiami 5-5
(9)Penn vs UM-College Park 5-5
USC vs UCSB 5-5

For the first round, all schools initially have 5 points each. Each voter must only subtract from points from one school. The school which reaches 0 first is out. One Vote Per Day.

(1)Harvard vs Syracuse 5-4
Brandeis vs William & Mary 4-5
(16)Cornell vs GWU 5-4
Rice vs Yeshiva 5-4

(8)Chicago vs Texas A&M 5-4
UCLA vs Umiami 5-4
(9)Penn vs UM-College Park 5-4
USC vs UCSB 4-5

(1)Harvard vs Syracuse 5-3
Brandeis vs William & Mary 3-5
(16)Cornell vs GWU 5-3
Rice vs Yeshiva 5-3

(8)Chicago vs Texas A&M 5-3
UCLA vs Umiami 5-3
(9)Penn vs UM-College Park 5-3
USC vs UCSB 4-4

I agree with you on everything, I just minused one from UCSB to change things up :)

(1)Harvard vs Syracuse 4-3
Brandeis vs William & Mary 2-5
(16)Cornell vs GWU 5-2
Rice vs Yeshiva 5-2

(8)Chicago vs Texas A&M 5-2
UCLA vs Umiami 5-2
(9)Penn vs UM-College Park 5-2
USC vs UCSB 4-3

Correction: Voting once every bracket! Unless a bracket lasts longer than a day in which case you may vote again.

This is the entire draw. Whenever a bracket finishes, a new bracket can be posted. next bracket starts with columbia and ends with pennstate.

How do you figure out the rankings of a losing college if more than one college is being ousted at the same time?

(1)Harvard vs Syracuse 4-1
Brandeis vs William & Mary 1-4
(16)Cornell vs GWU 5-0 —> ** Cornell **
Rice vs Yeshiva 5-0 —> ** Rice **

(8)Chicago vs Texas A&M 4-1
UCLA vs Umiami 5-2
(9)Penn vs UM-College Park 5-0 —> ** Penn **
USC vs UCSB 4-1

I don’t understand what you mean by once per bracket so I’m just going to continue business as usual…

(1)Harvard vs Syracuse 3-1
Brandeis vs William & Mary 0-4 —> William & Mary
(16)Cornell vs GWU 5-0 —> Cornell
Rice vs Yeshiva 5-0 —> Rice

(8)Chicago vs Texas A&M 3-1
UCLA vs Umiami 5-1
(9)Penn vs UM-College Park 5-0 —> Penn
USC vs UCSB 4-0 —> USC

@leah I think he said once per bracket because round 1 of this bracket will most likely be over within a day.

We aren’t having rankings for the prelim stages. We’ll have them for the top 4. It’s a tournament/

UCLA has already beaten UMiami; Penguinone voted for 5-1, Leah somehow made it 5-2, but since Reaper made it 5-1 again, we can consider UCLA the winner.

(1)Harvard vs Syracuse 3-1
Brandeis vs William & Mary 0-4 —> William & Mary
(16)Cornell vs GWU 5-0 —> Cornell
Rice vs Yeshiva 5-0 —> Rice

(8)Chicago vs Texas A&M 3-1
UCLA vs Umiami 5-0 —> UCLA
(9)Penn vs UM-College Park 5-0 —> Penn
USC vs UCSB 4-0 —> USC

(1)Harvard vs Syracuse 2-1
Brandeis vs William & Mary 0-4 —> William & Mary
(16)Cornell vs GWU 5-0 —> Cornell
Rice vs Yeshiva 5-0 —> Rice

(8)Chicago vs Texas A&M 2-1
UCLA vs Umiami 5-0----- UCLA
(9)Penn vs UM-College Park 5-0 —> Penn
USC vs UCSB 4-0 —> USC

(1)Harvard vs Syracuse 2-0 —>Harvard
Brandeis vs William & Mary 0-4 —> William & Mary
(16)Cornell vs GWU 5-0 —> Cornell
Rice vs Yeshiva 5-0 —> Rice

(8)Chicago vs Texas A&M 2-0—>Chicago
UCLA vs Umiami 5-0----- UCLA
(9)Penn vs UM-College Park 5-0 —> Penn
USC vs UCSB 4-0 —> USC

I want to do this one seriously and not just get Harvard out for kicks or whatever. I’m not planning on saying it’s #1 overall, but I’m not going to say that Syracuse is better than it.
