Amerucan University or Maxwell school at Syracuse??????

<p>Need some help?
Trying to decide between American University SIS or Maxwell school at Syracuse University.
According to FP magazine, American is ranked 8th for best IR masters program, and Maxwell is ranked 10th.<br>
Other than that I don't know which one holds a better name or program.
I need two questions answered.
1) Which school is most likely to help me land a job in the State department of UN?</p>

<p>2) Would you rather go to Maxwell for free? or AU for 15k loan per year? </p>

<p>If you’ve got the 15k, American will give you far better in-term internship opportunities and contacts, And their career center is unmatched.</p>

<p>I’m trying to make pretty much the same decision although I currently have more money from American than Syracuse (and I’m in the Public Diplomacy program which is a bit more expensive because you have to go over the summers). I realize being in DC is a big plus but the Syracuse program has you spend a semester there and intern, so it kind of negates the location (a bit). And although I have more money from American there is a chance I could get a GA at Syracuse which might make them closer to even in funding (although that’s not certain by any means). If money were equal which do you think is better? I keep going over all of the info and it’s not helping me make up my mind, and I need to decide by April 15!</p>
