Nothing extraordinary. See my chance me. I think my essays, LoRs, and EC’s pulled me through tbh.
HAHAHA you make the best posts I swear to god!! You already have wonderful options (and Vassar is gonna be a yes)!
I need to have your socials. The fact that we got into so many of the same schools has to be a sign that we need to become friends.
YESSIR ILL DM YOU
YAYYYYYYYYY, THEY DESERVE YOUR PRESENCE!!!
YOU ARE THE BEST!!!
Can I second earl’s request for your socials?? 1. LACS rule 2. Community
3. Approaching bestie destination???
We’ll trade our Wesleyan for your Amherst! Ha! Best of luck and sincere congratulations!
Of course! I will DM!!
rejected. not feeling too good for ivy day.
It’s a crapshoot. Really. Amherst’s accept rate was probably around 5-6% this year, and they had WAY more qualified applicants than spots. Ivies are the same way!
It’s really hard. But we got this. We’re the freakin warriors of 2021, forging our own path! We will definitely find the hearth where we’ll be happy, each of us
Don’t doubt yourself. YOU GOT THIS !!!
Looking forwards to seeing you here!
Me too bruh lol. I took the rest of the day off to celebrate
Did your D apply here??
No Bowdoin was my son’s big reach and he’s stoked to be accepted there. My brother is Amherst class of '87 and it changed his life so we hold Amherst in highest regard (more so than Williams–ha)
MD is getting rejected and waitlisted at several schools. She is a top student at top tier boarding school in the country. She never reached out to any of the admission officers at any of the schools to show interest. We just did the applications and supplementals. What if anything did you do to show interest?
Well Bowdoin is equally impressive in my eyes! Congrats to your SON (my apologies for the misgender)!
Amherst doesn’t consider demonstrated interest, at least according to their CDS. Out of all my schools, though, I liked my Amherst supplements the most, so those probably helped! Happy to share them if you want
I didn’t demonstrate any interest to any school, except take the interview when it was available (Amherst doesn’t offer interviews though).
A big factor for admission to any small and highly selective LAC is fit. I did my best to promote myself as the unusual person that I am to sell myself as a potential contributing member to the class, and it worked! However, a lot of it comes down to what the college is looking for at what time (aka. right time, right place).
