Yeah. It was an error on Amherst’s part. That was for Freshmen applicants.

Yeah, if you go through the thread here (which is basically 20 pages of us being nervous applicants) you can see what happened. On a certain date, like some people’s status changed. Mine and I think dcmiss’s didn’t change. Everyone was kind of confused. Some people thought it meant April 30th, but this one guy came on and said that the March 30th date was the day they told RD freshmen applicants. On April 30th, a person checked his/her notification and had a decision there (waitlisted) but then the decision was gone. That person called and got their status confirmed, so the fact that h/she saw it was it mistake.

ANYWAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY yeah welcome! Where you fromm?

Do all of you have that March 30th on your webpages? Do you really think it does mean an acceptance??

Well I only thought it meant an acceptance because earlier only some people had gotten it. How long have you had yours? Mine just changed, along with the other guy who didn’t have it, yesterday. Everyone else’s was already there for week or so maybe?

I have no idea when my changed, I’m assuming everyone probably has the same thing now. I wish I had checked earlier though lol

One theory is that the message changing indicates an admissions decision being made.

Yeah, like now that’s what I think. Like they got to all of our applications at different times and mine later I guess. :-/

But yeah, we don’t think we’ll know till next week

@WorriedAlways - I was previous threads and I couldn’t help but notice that we have the same majors! I am also doing Spanish and political science but with a pre-med goal! lol isn’t that weird?? Here’s hoping we both get in! I’m actually from Illinois and a URM, how about you?

To be honest, I hope we hear on the 15th. I don’t want the decision to not be in my favor and deter me from my exams.

Are there any other indications of an acceptance?

Of course the notification could be in your favor, and you come down with senioristis…

^ we all have the March 30th right? including you^?

Yep, everyone.

Let’s all try this:

https://www.amherst.edu/admission/currentlyadmittedstudents

see if you can succesfully access this website, especially those of you who saw the march 30th early on??? :)

AHHH BEST FRIENDS?! Haha. We don’t know if It’s indication of acceptance, just that a decision has been made. Maybe three of us called yesterday and they simply said that decisions haven’t been made yet…Sooo…yeah. and one person was waitlisted so i mean…yeah.

Eh eh! I’m from a state university in Texas, are you from a community college?

No lol from a state university in Illinois. I hear CC students have a better chance oh well lol. Why do you have that interesting combination? I want to work with underserved patients as a physician in the future. I chose my respective major to a fuller understanding and serve minority patients who face significant cultural, political, and personal barriers in accessing healthcare. hbu?

@dcsmiss Senioritis! I like that one… So true :(.

@worriedalways they never said decisions haven’t been made yet, just that they won’t notify us until next week.

I never said that they said that decisions haven’t been made yet, what are you talking about?

Anyway Cordova, I’ve been taking Spanish since grade seven and French since grade ten. Right now I’m doubling in Spanish and poli sci with a French minor. I’m really passionate about foreign language and want to pick up a non Latin one. I want to study law eventually but work on the international level…like for the UN. All of my volunteer work has been on the domestic front, but I’m really interested in international law.

Ugh yeahh I heard the same about people from CC’s. Ugh. What are your stats if you’re comfortable sharing?

I was creepin’ on a thread from maybe a year or two ago and some accepted people were able to see their financial aid before they received an acceptance letter, while some weren’t. Yeah.

@WorriedAlways I really appreciate you for filling us in. You’ve made me feel a bit more comfortable and I’m a bit more relaxed :).
