Don’t worry, the transfer process is an entirely mixed bag and so utterly unpredictable. I’ve refrained from trying to formulate any predictions, if only to preserve my dwindling sanity. At the end of this process, however, you just might be pleasantly surprised!

Haha, It’s only human to think forward and analyze things. And It’s okay. It’s okay to think. If you freak out you freak out. I did like all last week, as everyone can attest, but I’ve been weirdly calm lately. It passes.

My method of coping has been to stress myself with other things.

Same here @jyoung. I have so many tests coming up.

@jyoungs, I agree. I’ve been trying to keep myself busy 24/7 so I can’t think about this until I get home and check my mailbox before going to bed… Either way I just want to fast forward the next 2 weeks and wake up after the wait is over. Regardless of the results, I just want to have some certainty over my life next semester…

I’ll be getting a response on Friday from another institution with a 3% acceptance rate. I am almost certain that I will be denied, but I know it’s going to ruin my weekend anyway.

@Dcsmiss you’re a mess! I wish I was in your boat! You’re set regardless of what happens on Friday.

Also, why are you negative about it? I would either be indifferent or trusting in my abilities. You’re getting in man. I have faith in you.

I know guys! You seem amazing dcmiss.

We shall no longer have negative vibes on this thread. Everyone is great. With Amherst or not.

@Dcsmiss - where else are ya’ applying to?

I applied to seven places, but Columbia’s acceptance has made me disregard virtually all the rest, Amherst being the exception.

I’m not inclined to the feverish positivity others have been projecting; I’ve learned that the worst way to expect change is at the discretion of others.

My sentiment is one of acquiescence. For me, the higher my hopes, the harder I will fall.

Someone reads the thesaurus.

Haha, I’ll take that as a compliment :)

has anyone tried using the financial aid log in trick again to make sure?

I doubt that’ll work again this year…

So I called again to find out about decisions. The woman who answered the phone said they’re not positive what day they’ll be releasing them yet but it should be sometime next week. She said that they will be posted on the ACData site and we’ll receive an email saying that they’re there. So, fingers crossed that it actually does happen sometime next week and that it works out for all of us!

Thanks Alyssa!

By this time next week…by this time week…I hope it’s all at the same time.

Thank you Alyssa!

I wish they would just email me like Cornell did and just say “Dear Loron, CONGRATULATIONS !..” or " Dear Loron, We are unable to accept you…"

Now, I have to get the email, sign in and click several things… I might faint while in the process of everything. Haha, I’m just being dramatic, but I’d really prefer an email telling me my fate in addition to the ACData.

Can’t wait for this to be over :)!

I’m going to call on Monday to see if I can garner any more specific information regarding the notification timeline. If it takes place at the end of the week, I may have problems notifying Columbia by their deadline.
