Oh, I’m aware that Amherst is need-blind, but I definitely need financial aid and I want to compare packages. Ah well, if I get in, hopefully I’ll be able to sort out everything before May 1st.

Good luck to everyone! Do we have any speculative dates as to when they’ll be releasing?

If previous [2012] year’s time line holds good, then minorities and under represented students should get their email invitation for the diversity day [with offer of transportation] by this Saturday [may be even tomorrow evening], indicating their admission [they will get their actual admission with the rest by next friday].

The others will get an email on Monday telling them when they will get their admission notification - which should more than likely next Friday.

When I got accepted last year, mi financial aid application was incomplete and i recieved my aid package within about a week, so you should be fine. I think they should release decisions next friday. Good luck!

I got an invitation to Diversity Day, I got in. Its crazy too because I also just got my acceptance from Sarah Lawrence earlier this morning. This is definitely a good day. :)

So if I’m generally considered “diverse” because of my socioeconomic background and haven’t gotten an email yet, should I be assuming the worst?

I got in too. The letter said they’d notified me early because the Diversity Recruitment Program wants to fund my trip for the Overnight Open House. I’m a little shocked, would love to talk to some other people who got in/attend.

I am completely surprised, but I got accepted! I applied on a whim when I found out that the CommonApp didn’t have any extra essays and I am just, incredibly excited.

I am a URM(Northeastern Native American), but the government registered me as a white male due to some issues with tribal records, if that helps anyone.

I got invited to Diversity Day too but it falls on the same day as Notre Dame’s Spring Visitation Weekend. Letter clearly states our acceptance, did not expect it after getting deferred from ED but quite pleased.
