I'm a risinig senior. I don't know if it would be bad to request an application, you could always try. At least it shows that you are interested and the worst that could happen is that they'll say no. lol

It's ok to request an application and it's not bad form at all. I have known students who have requested applications and received them.

Thanks. I did get the application.

I've just sent my application. I hope i get in :)

Did you get an invitation or did you request an application? Where are you from?

They sent me an invitation. I'm from California and completely obsessed with the school :) How about you?

Also from California - Pasadena

It seems that students from the West Coast have a greater chance of getting invited to attend Diversity Weekend. However, if you do not get invited to attend Diversity Weekend, do not despair. I know 2 East Coast students who submitted applications for Diversity Weekend but were not accepted (for diversity weekend).

In December, they were both contacted by the Admissions Office and were invited to apply for regular admission; both were admitted - one chose to attend Amherst. They were also offered application fee waivers!!

Wow, that's awesome! But why did they get rejected? Was it their grades, extra curricular involvement, application in too late?

How would I get an app?

yeah, i wanna know too, how do u get an application?

Anais, they had excellent grades, ecs,etc but they were from the Northeast; in the end, they were admitted to the school!

OOO ok thanks.

you might be able to request an application. but I'm pretty sure most people are just sent one by Amherst. They probably use PSAT profiles or something, I'm not sure.

are international students invited?
