Amherst ED Plan B

Amherst is mailing out their ED decisions tommorow. I was wondering what people’s second choices were if they get defered/rejected. Mine are Berekely UCLA, USC.

Bowdoin
Kenyon
Bucknell

williams
yale
brown

when do you think we'll get the decision?

a new englander.

Hopefully (and a big hopefully), Saturday.

If all fails, it'll be:
Middlebury ED 2
Williams
Cornell
etc.

They are mailing on Friday, so probably Saturday for New Englanders. Definietely by Monday

Lentigradss- Yale and Brown are your backup schools? Well that makes me feel confident about my application :-P

I went to the USPS website and typed in my zip code and Amherst's. The calculator said 3 days. (I live in CA)

no they're my second choices!! of course they (like amherst) are crapshoots these days

Haha, ok. Makes me feel a LITTLE better :)

I was horrified for a second.

i think if you arent absolutely ridiculously spectacular its like playing the lottery for a lot of these schools (harvard yale amherst williams etc.). After Amherst (and the other schools i just mentioned), I like Wesleyan University a lot...

yeah wesleyan is cool. i also really like bowdoin.
if you guys get in are you joining that random facebook group?
also do we know for sure that they're sending decisions tomorrow? or is this speculation

I think someone asked an admission officer, and they said they were mailing the 12th.

I probably won't join that one, just because the creator of that group is in a dozen other "________ class of 2013" groups, so I doubt it's authenticity.

it BETTER get mailed tmr.

Wellesley (Clear second choice)
Dartmouth
Smith
William & Mary

Yeah, in the December Amherst chat, an admissions officer said the 12th. Additionally, I think someone called and checked. (I may be wrong about the last bit)

I recommend Williams, everyone ;)

Georgetown
Princeton
Pomona

so new englanders will hear tomorrow or monday then? i've given up on amherst now anyway...
