@Ahowooh yeah, I accepted it a few days ago after a long sit-down with my wife. I’m really excited about everything except finding an apartment.
@Surfbort Congrats to you! I also had an interview with the Eli Whitney thing and saw you comment on it. Can I ask what made you choose Amherst over Cornell? I am choosing Amherst over Georgetown, but mainly for FA reasons. But all this could change once we hear from yale I suppose.
@Ahowooh It came down to FA, class sizes, 5 college consortium, and location. I didn’t want to be in the middle of nowhere for 3 years. Also, I put down the deposit for Amherst and I’m willing to turn down Yale for Amherst without any FA besides tuition.
I was originally waitlisted and was accepted today! I was really surprised to be called this late, but I’m so grateful. Hopefully this is helpful to someone out there.

@Surfbort They originally called me Thursday afternoon, I didn’t answer because they showed up as an unknown number. They called again Friday morning, and I’m really grateful that I picked up! So it looks like I didn’t get your spot

@kisforkat yeah I applied for fall 2016, but I’m not complaining. Will you be there this fall?
@mika379 Yes! I’ll be there in the fall and hopefully in the spring too I wouldn’t be complaining either- try to enjoy your free time! Do you have less than 60 credits?
@kisforkat I have 32 from my current university and 18 or so from an art school which I am guessing won’t transfer. I’m still waiting on my credit evaluation. What grade will you be when you transfer?
@mika379 I’ll be a junior. I graduated CC with an AS, so I have 65+ credits. I’m assuming the reason they did that is that you’ll be able to finish another semester at your school. Hope that makes sense
