<p>Is anyone else on CC applying to Amherst as a transfer student for the Spring 2015 semester? If so, please insert your stats.</p>

Intended Major- Political Science with a focus in International Relations
Will have completed 68 credits when the time comes to transfer
Strong Essays
Strong recommendations- one from my political science professor who is an Amherst graduate, and one from my economics professor.
Member of Phi Theta Kappa

Extracurriculars- Volunteered in soup kitchens while on vacation, and visited the sick and elderly in hospitals.</p>

<p>@TransferMan123‌ What school are you applying from and what are your stats (gpa, honors societies, major, etc.)?</p>

<p>did you hear back from Amherst yet?</p>

<p>I called the admissions office this morning and they informed me that decisions will not be sent out until the 17th; however, I have a transfer scholarship from another school that I have to give a response to by the 16th, so Amherst told me that they will tell me whether or not I got in on the 16th if I call them.</p>

<p>This is my second time applying from Holyoke Community College, my gpa is 3.65 so I don’t have a great chance. I got accepted into Hampshire College and I must give my deposit by the 15th so I was hoping Amherst would give me an answer by then </p>

<p>@bet2012‌ I suggest that you call up Amherst today and let them know that you have to submit a deposit by the 15th. I’m sure that they will work with you.</p>
