Amherst Supplement Option B1--UPLOADING

I have decided to go with option B1 for the Amherst supplement, so I have to upload a scanned copy of a graded paper. I have scanned four pages as pictures and put them on a word document, but it exceeds the maximum 500 KB limit. I have read that a pdf file under 500KB should hold about 7-8 pages. But even as a pdf, my file is over 1000KB. I realize that pictures will take up more KB than words, but how else can I upload a scanned paper?

I have the exact same issue. Did you figure out how to make it smaller?

D used the upload feature to send a letter to the admissions department explaining that she would fax her essay and rubric to the college which she did immediately submission of her application. I advised her to be sure to include a fax cover sheet with her personal information so that it would get to the right file. She hasnt’ heard back that it is an issue.
