Amherst to Wellesley transfer

I was accepted into Wellesley early evaluation but chose to attend Amherst college instead. I'm starting to think I've made the wrong decision. I'm of course going to give Amherst a full chance before making up my mind but I want to keep my options open. I know the Wellesley transfer acceptance rate is really low (15%). What kind of GPA do you think I need at Amherst in order to have a high chance of getting into Wellesley? Will my pervious acceptance affect me negatively or positively if at all? I'm also a legacy if that counts at all.

I think being both previously accepted and a legacy would be positives.

What don’t you like about Amherst?

If you do decide to transfer, you need to explain in your essay that you realize your mistake in not choosing Wellesley in the first place, and you need to have some very specific and concrete reasons. What does Wellesley offer to you that Amherst does not? And why are you sure about W this time? Thinking about questions like these will help you decide if this is really what you want, and can give you the basis for a good essay. In the meantime, you do need to get really excellent grades.
