<p>We visited Amherst today and they don’t plan to release transfer decisions until at least mid-May.</p>

<p>Another Amherst hopeful here, coming from a small state school in NY. I know that Amherst only welcomed about 15 transfers last year…but how many applied? Does anyone know the transfer acceptance rate? And I seriously cannot wait until June! I’m really hoping we hear back earlier! Good luck to everyone!</p>
<p>Call them! they will be happy to release an ealry decision or simply discuss your case. i’m gonna do the same. 
they had aroudn 300 transfers apply last year and 21 got accepted. 17 attended.</p>

<p>They’ll discuss your case if you call them? Like specific things about you’re file and what they’re considering? Haha that’d be exciting if they have all good things to say, but disheartening if they have a lot of concerns because it would take the hope out of the uncertainty.</p>
<p>I called a couple of weeks ago and they said they were releasing decisions the first week in may but… obviously none of us have heard yet! :/</p>

<p>The woman I spoke with didn’t specify whether or not they would all be going out at the same time. I just asked when decisions would be released, and she said sometime next week.</p>

<p>Yup. I’m hoping for decisions from all the schools I applied to next week… it’s also my last full week of school and i’m working 60 hours on top of it. Jeez the anticipation is really killing me!</p>
<p>doesn’t amherst take like only 10 transfers? crazy competitive. i want my thin envelope already!</p>
<p>When I visited they told me that they accept 18-25 transfers. A little better than 10-:)</p>
