I applied to Amherst this year as a transfer. recently dug a nail into spam folder and I found out MIT is sorry.

I got this today:

Decisions are hopefully going out via mail sometime his week.

Thanks,

This week, and believe me the guy made the typo :)

Got the email today - rejected. A bit disappointed, but c’est la vie.

Rejected via e-mail. It said they had 25 spots for 400+ applicants. I knew I didn’t have a chance anyway but it would have been nice to get lucky.

Also rejected. Wasn’t high on my list so I don’t really care.

Rejected as well - it’s funny because those were the exact same stats for MHC and I got in there (25 spots for 400 applicants lol) But it’s fine because when I visited it wasn’t my first choice. Obviously it wasn’t really any of our first choices because none of us were obsessing lol. Well I hope everyone gets what they want!!!

Rejected: got the news after completing a gruelling logic final. Quite bummed. I guess I didn’t consider how disappointed I would be if I didn’t get in, although it was my top school. Haha at least we all tried right?

Harrier676, I say we get major points for trying :)

rejected as well. Whatever! :P

Linala27, haha I’m glad you agree. And I’m actually really happy with the supplements–so the way I look at it, I didn’t come out with just a rejection letter. Anyway, where’s everyone waiting to hear back from/leaning towards?

Rejected, which makes me very nervous now for the other places I applied to.

rejected as well.

waitlisted again…

first rejection so far. well, i mean they are only taking like 25 people. good luck to everyone else that has yet to hear!

First rejection here as well. Quite dissapointing as Amherst was among my top picks- my family and I loved the College and surrounding area. Congrats to those who were accepted and I sympathize with those of you who were not accepted.

Like my dad said today when I texted him saying I was rejected-
“Not accepted is not rejected. Keep your chin up and be proud of your accomplishments.”

I hope the rest of you can appreciate that as well Good luck with wherever you all end up!

Thanks peacelovensarah your dad has some real wisdom! Amherst was my first rejection as well and it’s funny because Amherst was the first school I even considered applying to, yknow? But I guess I just lost interest in it Hopefully you get in somewhere else that will make you just as happy!

Hearing from Wesleyan tomorrow, eep!

So, no acceptances? Yikes.
