Amnesty Club

So my school has a lot of clubs but most of them are made for the purpose of someone’s college resume. Most of them also raise awareness (Gay-Straight Alliance, Women’s rights club, global issues club, etc)
Our school doesn’t have an Amnesty Club and I’m pretty passionate about human rights (especially North Korea, but I felt that not a lot of people would be interested in a club based only on NK)
So what can I do to draw people to join and make this club actually successful?
I know little things like movie nights or posters but I don’t know what else I can do…

Besides the obvious tips to make a successful club, find others with the interest before going too far. Also, find a good time and place. I’m not a fan of reaching school at 6:45 a.m… Lol

@Anish14‌ our school has one of the latest start times 8:55 but we’re so used to having school start late that even waking up at 8 is hard lol
does your school have an Amnesty Club? If so, what do they do? (And yeah I know some of my friends are willing to run it with me and already have a teacher sponsor, just need ideas on events and stuff)

I’m in Amnesty and it’s really fun! One thing my club does is we host a night at a local Cafe where everyone brings friends and people from school perform (music, poetry, etc.) and then we pass around petitions for our cause at the end of the night.
