AMSCO or Essential Content for APUSH?

Opinions on either? Not sure which to read; I have both currently. I’m also taking the June SAT II for USH; would Essential Content be better in this case, since it’s for both the SAT II and the AP exam?

I haven’t yet started reading, so opinions on readability would be appreciated as well.

I am also wondering which review book is better for APUSH- - AMSCO OR Essential Content? Is it a waste to get both?

Also curious about this. There’s an updated edition of AMSCO but would the Essential Content still be useful for the 2015 new format?

AMSCO saved my life.

Never heard of Essential Content, but AMSCO’s really good

Do you happen to have the answer key for the AMSCO APUSH Book 2015 Edition? Thanks for the help! I can’t find it anywhere on line.

I love the essential content. The Essential Content is one of my favorite review books Ive ever read. The author breaks down info really well, and its a super easy read. AMSCO and Essential content would both be equally relevant to the subject test, so dont let that influence your decision. Also the Essential content isnt updated for the new exam, but the only issue there is that its multiple choice tests arent very good prep, the same information is going to be covered either way. Both books are probably on par in quality of content. However, the AMSCO has a lot more information, so it is much broader and comprehensive, whereas the Essential Content is concise and efficient. If you plan on reading it cover to cover, do AMSCO. If you have other AP Exams to study for or you dont think you can commit yourself to reading all of AMSCO, just do the essential content.
