Amtrak by campus?

Since it would seem that we would have to fly in to St. Louis and drive to Columbia, we're concerned how son would come home at break.

Are there shuttles to the Saint Louis Airport, or is there an Amtrak station near campus that he could take to the Saint Louis Airport?

We may even look into him taking Amtrak all the way to New Orleans, if there's time. I'll check that schedule.

There is a shuttle service between STL and Columbia (as well as between Kansas City and Columbia) ; we used it in June for Summer Welcome trip, pretty convenient. Also since Columbia is located between two airports: Saint Louis and Kansas City, compare the air ticket prices. In our case the ticket from San Francisco to Kansas City is twice cheaper than to STL even though it’s the same flight duration time. The shuttle service is here: [MO-X Airport Shuttle Service](http://www.moexpress.com/tac/default.aspx)

Thanks, Tori. My husband actually mentioned to me to check out Kansas City. I believe Southwest flies there as well.

Thanks also for the link to the shuttle. Maybe we can use that if we do a visit.

Have a great year!

there is an Amtrak station in Jefferson City, which I believe is about a 30min drive from Columbia.

There’s no Amtrak unfortunately. Not sure why.

But you could take the MegaBus to St. Louis (leaves at like 1:30 and arrives in St. Lous at 4:30 I believe, although it usually runs a little late).

Then there is some other thing, I think it’s called Mo-Ex or something of that nature, that goes to the St. Louis airport. Not sure if you could get that to go to the St. Louis amtrak station or not.
