has anyone here took or heard about Amy Brown, a TA in Econ Dept? Is she hard and does she teach well? I am taking her Econ 11 this Summer. Thx

I had her as a TA for 101. She was great, really explained the material well, better than a lot of the professors can. I highly recommend her.

thx for passerby's comment

I have her for Econ 11 right now and she's great! She's nice, fun, witty and really knows her stuff. Definitely stick with her.
Oh, and Anna D'souza is good too.

Are there any econ professors you guys would recommend?

Boustan, McDevitt, Krop, Hellwig

^_^, it's so nice to have your guys' advices
To Bruinette , are you using the tenth edition book? If so, when you wanna sell it, please keep me in mind. lol

Sorry, I have the 9th edition since Hellwig said it was pretty much the same and a whole lot cheaper.

Wait, Amy is teaching Econ 11 for the summer?

I would recommend Boustan as well, and I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Kahn. He's the only "big name" economics professor at UCLA, but more importantly, he is incredibly brilliant and engaging. The lone bright spot in a dismal department...

I thought UCLA was ranked pretty near the top for their econ department?

lol, I see, I don't know if she want the 9th edition this summer.
She is teaching Econ 11 for section C in summer

s_dragon, you seem to talk about things like you actually know what the hell you're talking about. Yet I get the feeling you don't know anything about this or that. >.>

couldn't really get what you said, what did you mean? :D
