An alright idea?

This year my school got a new French teacher and it has been a disaster. Our previous teacher was extremely easy, and now the new one is critical and hard. I'm am receiving a lower grade that I think is satisfactory in comparison to my last two years in the class and I do not get along with the teacher at all. She is condescending and selfish whenever I try and work with her about a situation. My mother has been to administration and this is the solution we came up with: I would take the half credit of French 3 Honors and then switch into AP Microeconomics for the remainder of the year considering its only a half year class. Would this look terrible? I have 1 Year of Spanish as well. I am not planning on applying to Harvard, or anything that is equivalent. My major is Biotechnology (irrelevant from a foreign language), but am apply to schools such as Tufts, Brandeis, BU, etc...

Opinions on whether it would be a total mistake or not too big of a deal?
