Some universities accept students who're able to make donations in the 7 figures. But i know someone who was able to do it a lot cheaper. This person's family had an excellent relationship with his private school. With only a 5 figure donation, the school boosted up his grades, wrote bragging recommendations, covered up his past "bad records", and got him in a reputable school through an appeal. I M PSSD.

Disgusting, if true

Did you just wake up to reality? Well-to-do families have been doing that for centuries, and will continue to do so.

the first thing i thought of when i saw your title was SELLING your way in

anways,
i guess it makes sense...u just talk to the head of the school and go like hey here's some money.

"i guess it makes sense...u just talk to the head of the school and go like hey here's some money."

Yeah, totally!

Did he pay to get into the private school too? How much did the family pay over the years to gain "an excellent relationship with his private school"?

Sadly, as mentioned before, it has always been like that. I had a friend who went to a private school and got all 95s ... came to my IB school and started getting 70s. I asked her about it and she admitted she used to pay the previous school. I really did not find it shocking. It happens often. Do i approve of it? Ofcourse not.

But the University he got into is my dream school (which I got rejected), and many more deserving kids can only wish to transfer next year. Also, he was kicked out of a prestigious prep school after 2 months, returned to his old private school, and both sides pretended nothing had happened. They covered up the entire incident! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOuch!

yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaa right
