According to the guide book, student who are enrolled to USP can gain immediate access to relevant graduate programs. Besides, the guide says that "in addition to the bachelor degree, you can also get a MD" in the medical program section.

Here is my annoying and pragmatic question: Does this mean that students can be granted MD in an accelerated manner?

PS. I have been enrolled to Professor Arvidson's Pathfinder Program knowing that I have another 10+ teammates. Is anyone here?

In my understanding, its an 8 year program. You go into it knowing that you want to go into law, medicine, etc... so you are able to do more research, internships, perhaps take some classes at those schools. What they mean by you can get an MD is that you are guranteed admission into WashU's medical school but if you decide at a later time that you would rather go somewhere else you are not held to it.

Hope that helps. I wish I had applied for the USP but I never really planned on going to Wash U but now I am. Funny how that happens.

No, it's not accelerated. You have 4 years undergrad, then 4 years med school. Basically all you get is a guarantee of acceptance to WashU's med school after the 4 years of undergrad, given you maintain a 3.8 GPA and get a 36 on the MCAT.

Then, is the ganrantee of acceptance a binding policy?

Can I apply for other medschools when washu's admission is clinched?
