I am an international applying this year.
There are no AP courses available in my school. So I self studied for AP Physics B and scored a five. Also, i will be giving AP chem, environmental science, calculus bc(self studying for all of them) this june. Because my school does not offer AP courses it will not include this information on the transcript. But, my counsellor on his recommendation has written that I like to take challenges by mentioning that i self studied for this AP and taking many other AP's this june.
How do you think should i convey all this AP information to the colleges?(don't ask me to send official score reports, it will cost a lot). Will the counsellor recommendation alone suffice?

I would send official score reports. How much money are we talking about?

Also, how did you self study for all of those courses on top of all of your regular classes? That’s insane. What grade are you in?

On the application there is space to write down your AP scores (as well as the AP tests you are taking in June). When they see your score and look at the transcript and don’t see the class they will be able to tell that you self studied. You don’t need to send in the official report until you are accepted and commit to going.
