actually at first,i'd rather go to George Mason University to study ecomonic.but my teacher told me GMU is not as good as you heard.we all know GMU isn't have much history, but it has trained up two person to get the Nobel price on Econonic. i feel a little pity about i can't go there.
and it's location is another problem stop me applying it.it's too near from NY. so it will cost more than BSU if i study there.
what do you think of that?

Which school is BSU?

* it’s location is another problem stop me applying it.it’s too near from NY. so it will cost more than BSU if i study there*

Not sure what you’re saying here.

George Mason is about 20 km from Washington, DC. It’s 500 km from New York. Its distance from a major city has nothing to do with its cost. That is dependent upon the pricing structure of public universities in Virginia.

Boise State? Ball State? Bowie State? 2 of the 3 will have cheaper cost of living and cheaper tuition and the 3rd has lower tuition but about the same cost of living. GMU really is a top notch school though the cost of living in Northern VA is fairly high.

Do you want to be a libertarian (namely, Austrian) economist? If the answer is yes, the benefit of going to GMU is substantial. IHS and the Mercatus center are both located at GMU and both are major players in the libertarian scene. They also have quite a few respected economics professors, I would be surprised if the same were true of BSU.

I’m not even sure if the OP understood everything posted above. Let’s go step by step.

zhangruiran, which university is BSU? Can you give the full name of that university?

oh i really sorry about i even didn’t gane a full name of BSU.it’s short for Ball State University.
thank all of you to give your advice. So now i really not sure about which shall i apply.
i will study Maketing there.and i was preparing to go to BSU all time.and i learn many information about BSU. i was quite satisfied about it before today.

actually at first i once trid to apply GMU,but my teacher prevent me .because i will be possible refused by GMU if i stick to it.
So NOW I AM REALLY CONFUSED.

Please give us more info…
