Intended Major: Political Science

Chances for the colleges mentioned in title as well as the Ivy Leagues (lower tier ones: cornell, upenn, dartmouth), Duke, WUSTL, Amherst, Swarthmore?

Thanks!

Also add in Georgetown, Univ. of Notre Dame, Univ. of Chicago, and Boston College…this is under EA plan.

Your chances don’t look too good for anything really. Try a community college.

Damnit…I knew it. Thanks.

You seem to have a good shot everywhere, and a massive amount of AP classes. Try to bump your GPA up, if possible, and see if you can get into the top 20/top 10.

Also, retake your SAT - you’re a smart student, so you should be able to get it to a more appealing level.

Bottom line is that all of these schools are pretty tough to get into. Focus in on political science -related activities - expand your involvement in MUN, mentor middle schoolers in basic MUN or debate.

I can’t hazard any chances, since they would be very arbitrary and would do more harm than help, so just keep working at it, and you should merit consideration at lower Ivy’s or other high-level schools.

Thanks, sounds like a fair assessment to me! I’m not sure about the SAT’s though, I’m pretty bad at testing but there’s always hope.

Bumpity bump.

You have a fair chance, get the SAT’s higher

ECs are fine

I think you’re shooting awfully high. Give them a try but have realistic backups.

Yeah, testing is my weakest trait. Thanks for both your inputs! Yeah, I know I’m aiming high. Idk what my back-up is yet. Can anybody recommend a good back-up that specializes in political science (has to be private)? The reason for the private is b/c of the financial aid aspect.
