<p>I'd say you have a very strong chance. Your numbers are solidly above average and your ECs are impressive. The one thing that might hurt you is the class rank (and I know how it feels, I have a 94 UW and 8APs, NMS, but am like ~100/750). How many kids does your school usually send to Rice? What are their ranks and numbers like? If your school is as well known as you claim, they should be understanding.</p>

<p>They send quite a few, maybe 5-7. A few come from the top ten. I'm pretty sure other have gotten in not in the top ten, but they never really say were the rest of the people at my school go.</p>

<p>Rice is probably familiar with your school if it is one of the top in TX. They do seem to place a lot of emphasis on class rank from what I've seen. The two people I know personally that got in last year were both valedictorians from good public schools.</p>
