An Earthquake Got My SAT Cancelled!

<p>I live in Islamabad. We were just about to give the Oct. 8th essay when a 7.6 earthquake hit and we had to be evacuated. One of the apartment buildings in the city collapsed and there's some damage in other places too. They cancelled out SAT and now I wont have my scores in time for applying Early Action at Chicago. Ahhhh!</p>

<p>i emailed my admissions officer so hopefully they'll get back to me about it. it's pretty big on the news i think.</p>

<p>they usually fix an alternate date in case the SAT cannot be taken on the official date</p>

<p>however, if the damage will not allow the SATs to be taken anytime soon, I'm sure colleges will understand!</p>

<p>i actually went and helped out at the main site of the collapse. so...yeah.</p>

tsunami, hurricane, earthquake . . what's next, a huge tornado?

<p>be grateful u survived and u will have an oppurtunity to give the SAT on a later date. Many kids wont.</p>
