I'm planning on self studying ONE AP exam this year. I am taking 5-6 (2 are art classes) AP exams on the side with a class but I want one that would be simple to self study. I'm good at social studies and I don't mind reading. I've already taken AP World, AP HuG, and AP Psych. Any suggestions??

AP Microeconomics is, in my opinion, an extraordinarily easy AP to self study. While it was the only AP that I self studied, I literally took one day to learn and retain the material. I waited until the day before the exam to study, and I spent the entire day learning the info. The concepts are generally built upon the same basic ideas, and the graphs are easy, as well. I also found it quite fascinating, so that really helped me to get it done and retain it so well.

I’ve self-studied AP Comp Gov, AP Human Geo, and AP Psych. I’ve gotten 5s on all 3.

Any of those would be easy. Just choose one that interests you most.

^He’s already taken 2 of those…

Oops, lol, my bad.

Next time I should read more than the title. :)

So right now im thinking of either Macro or compt. gov. Ill be taking micro and u.s. govt my senior year so im avoiding those AP’s.

10 char_____

AP Human - self studied sophomore year and a got a 5. It was probably my easiest self-study.

AP Environmental Science - self studied junior year and got a 5. If you are interested in the subject, it can be rather easy. Otherwise, it might be pretty monotonous. Easy test, though.

AP English Language - self studied junior year and got a 5. Never practiced writing an essay. I only read the sample essays from previous years on the AP website. This test takes some natural ability, and it is not one you can really “study” for.

AP Comparative Government - self studied junior year and got a 5. Like Environmental Science, this is easy if you are interested. I would highly recommend the Ethel Wood study guide if you are taking this test; it is the only study aid I used.

When it comes to self-studying APs, Psychology and Human Geography come to mind, but you’ve already taken them. From hearing what friends have said, AP Environmental Science, AP Micro/Macro, and AP statistics are all doable self-studies. But IMO, anything that interests you will be easier. Perhaps you are someone interested in how our government works, or maybe you just want to know more about it, AP comp gov or AP US gov would be good self-studies.
