An email I've received from the MMNR program office...

"As funds become more limited ADT funding priority will go to JR
Officers
and officers with an upgraded USCG License. IAW OPNAV N42s Program
Alignment, if you are employed shore side and have a USCG third mate's
license or a third engineers license you should be in the SELRES not
the
MMIRRG Program!"

So, basically because I was unable to continue sailing to lack of work when I needed it and not being able to upgrade my license, I am now pushed to the back of the line of my commitment? I am supposed to service in the navy reserve for eight years but funds are low. No one ever said I had to do SELRES, that was my OPTION. Now they are trying to screw after I've left. I love how they can change this at will. I have my contract, it's on a pink carbon copy and is in black and white. I will hire an attorney if I have to.

The reason I post this...if funds are becoming limited and they are trying to change this for me...who's to say they won't tell future graduates they have to go active duty? This is just another reason I am upset with my academy.
